The Missouri Health Equity Collaborative is committed to ensuring that all Missourians “have the opportunity to make the choices that allow them to live a long, healthy life, regardless of their income, education, race, color, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, or disability status.” Can you tell they’re committed to health equity?

The core premise at MOHEC is that health starts in our communities and they are actively working to connect communities with education and resources to ensure that all Missourians have access to making healthy choices and living healthier lives. They understand the health disparities experienced by some people in the LGBTQ community and are working hard to eliminate their disparities by raising the awareness of those in power, disseminating research, and educating communities about health.
