As a nonprofit organization located in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Cape PRIDE Inc. was born in the summer of 2018. The first goal was to put on an EPIC celebration for the LGBTQ+ community of Southeast Missouri in 2019 to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Stonewall Riots & the start of the LGBTQ+ Rights Movement in the United States. That festival was a huge success and paved the way for all future goals and partnerships in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

Through the Family Nutrition Education Program (FNEP), MU Extension is dedicated to providing research-based nutrition education to Missouri’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) recipients and those who are eligible. MU Nutrition for Families is a great source for recipes, fitness tips and ideas, and more.

Quit Tobacco Now is a program under Ellis Fishcel Cancer Center and MU Healthcare at the University of Missouri that officer services to help tobacco users kick the habit for good. All services are free and include virtual group classes

The UMSL Safe Zone program serves to identify and train faculty, staff, and students who are sensitive and affirmative to the needs of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, and intersex persons. Our ultimate goal is to reduce the incidence of heterosexism and homophobia on our campus, and thereby promote a campus that is a safer and freer place for all, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.

Alliance is a Webster University organization working towards the support and education of Webster’s LGBTQ and ally population. We come together and hang out such as game nights, educational slides, etc.  We are hoping to have a Drag Ball at the end of the semester, so come join us.

Lambda Organization  is a group of LGBT faculty and staff that meet monthly to socialize, work on issues that affect all LGBT people on campus, and to encourage faculty, staff and student engagement.  We want to create a safe zone for our LGBT student to know about us, and to be visible role models for that population.
