Common Ground is Northwest Missouri State University’s GSA (Gay- Straight Alliance). Our community brings Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and Straight individuals together to educate and provide a safe space. We reach this goal by activities, social gatherings, and educational seminars to create a positive self- image for our members both gay and straight.

Fulton High School PRISM
The Fulton High School PRISM Club welcomes all lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered, queer, questioning students and their straight allies to come together for education, support and fun. Through group discussion, social activities and sexual orientation/gender identity education PRISM hopes to create a safe place of support, reduce isolation and depression in LGBTQ youth as well as help create a safe school environment free from homophobia, sexual, verbal and physical harassment.

Lambda Alliance @ MSU
Lambda Organization is a group of LGBT faculty and staff that meet monthly to socialize, work on issues that affect all LGBT people on campus, and to encourage faculty, staff and student engagement. We want to create a safe zone for our LGBT student to know about us, and to be visible role models for that population.

LGBTQIA Resource Center @ UMKC
The LGBTQIA Resource Center offers: lounge space for relaxation between classes, computers are available for student use, a large selection of books and magazines are available to read or check out, a wide selection of educational and social events every semester, Safe Space training programs for University departments and organizations (every semester and by request), and extensive campus and community resources and information.
