Community Resources: religion

Our mission is to transform, educate, and connect communities of faith in Springfield, Missouri to inspire deep understanding and profound appreciation of our differences which calls each of us to our fullest relationship with one another in God’s love. We value the dignity of all people regardless of gender, race, sexual orientation, creed, age, ethnicity, or economic status. We celebrate the diversity of God’s creation, including a variety of cultural and ethnic expressions. We encourage our community to negotiate variant perspectives and values and to strive for open and respectful communication. We challenge systems and structures of ‘isms.’ We seek to live into the healing and reconciling dream of God for all humanity.

The Ethical Society of St. Louis is a welcoming home for a group of people from various religious backgrounds in the major faiths, as well as agnostics and atheists, who come together to celebrate our journey through life and affirm our ability and responsibility to lead ethical lives of personal fulfillment that aspire to the greater good of humanity.

Some of our members and visitors concurrently attend their more mainstream houses of worship (such as a churches or synagogues) sometime during the week and then join us on Sundays and, perhaps, during the week for our other programs.
