The ACLU of Missouri defends civil liberties and the principles of equality and justice in eastern Missouri through its Litigation, Legislative and Public Education Programs. The ACLU was founded in 1920 as the first public interest law firm of its kind, and is recognized as the country’s foremost advocate of individual rights.

Boys & Girls Town of Missouri’s Empowering Youth program was created to address the needs of homeless youth in Southwest Missouri. Our mission is to provide the support and guidance homeless youth need to transition to safe and stable homes. Empowering Youth focuses on the opportunity to create positive change in the midst of crisis. Our goal is to empower homeless youth through access to community resources, a safe environment and a supportive staff.

The Special Collections and Archives Department encourages prospective donors to assist us in preserving this often overlooked, hidden, and neglected aspect of Ozarkiana by donating their materials to the Ozarks Lesbian and Gay Archives.

Parents, Families & Friends of Lesbians & Gays (PFLAG) is a national non-profit organization with over 200,000 members and supporters and over 500 affiliates in the United States. We meet on every third Sunday of the month at the National Avenue Church, 1515 National Avenue, Springfield, MO at 3:00 PM.
